  1. Long ago there was a man living in Mayo. His brother was a soldier in the British army. He was called to go to war but when he was training he got hurt. He was in hospital four months. He got better again and went training again. After a few days he got a letter that his brother wanted him home. The evening before he put his gun away. It was loaded. In the morning the officer asked for his gun. When the soldier went for the gun he found the shot gone off and drops of blood
