- 1. Rockfield Hedge-school
This school was situated in Rockfield, Faha, Beaufort. It was at the southern gable of Daniel Bowler's dwelling-house.
It was a mud-walled, thatched cabin containing two rooms and a kitchen. One room and the kitchen were knocked down in the year [?]. The last occupant, Daniel Bowler, now lives in a concrete-walled, tiled house. The remaining room of the old house is used as a stable.
Daniel MacGillicuddy was the teacher in the school. He owned the house. He came to the district from Ardlahas.
