  2. James Shea, Boulia, Firies, Farranfore,who was born about the year 1817 went to School there. Cornelius Shea, son to James Shea was born about the year 1857 and went to the same school. MacGillicuddy was the teacher all the time. Cornelius Shea still lives. He went to the hedge-school for two or three years and afterwards to Ballinilane National School. He remembers MacGillicuddy as a very old man and thinks that the hedge-school came to an end at about the time he went to Ballinilane.
