    Animals (somewhat like a man) but having a cloven foot like a beast and a roar like a bull are said to have appeared at nights long ago.
    Sometimes these strange animals would take the form of a big black dog about the size of a donkey, and a blaze appearing out of its mouth.
    Will-o-the-wisp was another fearsome and unexplained phenomenon to imaginative minds
