    5.When the midges bite sharpest and torment the bog man the rain is at hand.
    6.The mower is pleased when the wind's from the North.The wind's from a good point.
    7.When the inland lakes are not visible to the mountain folk there is good weather coming.
    8.Creaking doors is a sure sign of rain.
