    That morning was frosty and sunny and clear
    The hounds of Corcaghan to Leck did repair
    To indulge in the pastime of hunting the hare.
    Frank Finlay, our leader, the hunt did begin
    He beat every rush bush whitethorn and whin
    The beagles gave voice as they scented the lair
    And sweet was that sound on the calm morning air
