Accross Glenamully and down to the glen
Where the rushes were growing she made a safe den
With our dogs packed together your heart they would charm
They came to her hiding and her did alarmVI
Once more through the rushes wee pussy did tear
Each dog at full speed tried to reach the bow hare
Old Driver was leading at a second view
And a dog you call violet did quickly persueVII
They held the hare sighted for one mile or more
And afterwards hunted her until she was sore
As the cry of their music grew deeper in [?]
A silence gave a sad end to the dayVIII
Now to conclude and finish my song
Here is long life to Mc Clusky and may he live long
And bring joy to sportsmen with the cry of his horn
And the cry of his dogs on a cold winters This song was composed by Henry Moorhead as a result of a hunt which took place in 1920.- Collector
