    One cold winter's evening as the wind it did blow,
    I got an invitation a ceidhle to go,
    I asked the invitor where was the tear?
    And he said in Miss Fitz's and Quillan would be there.

    I asked who was Quillan and he told me too soon,
    When I heard all about her I could pull down the moon,
    Says I "take your time till I wash my old face
    And take of these overalls for they're a disgrace".
