- (continued from previous page)named Mary Cronin and her daughter Julia went to this well for a bucket of water by night and a women came out of the water when they had their bucket of water taken. She then went with them and was talking to them until they came near the house and she departed from them then. When they went home they told their story to the people of the house. The next morning the woman and her daughter were found dead in their bed. Priests usually drink the water of the well. One night a woman in the district named Kattie Bonnoe went to her neighbor's house. Dan Reilly was the man who lived there. The women waned eggs. She had to pass the well. She got the eggs from the man and she bade him good night and she went away. But as she was just passing the well she saw a woman with a cloak around her standing on the step of the well. She returned to the man's house again and told him the story he said he would put her pass the well and he put on his coat and went with her. He put her pass the well and he saw nothing . Shen then begged of him to convey her as far as her own house and he did. He then returned home.
