   Tralee = grey strand; I believe the river Lee is the river Dúr that is Tralee Bay as far as Camp where you have Bunavoondeer = Bun-abhan-dúr.

   Balllymacagogue (?) = Baile + mac + gabhaidh (cabha) = baile = townland mac = like + gabhaidh a cleft, - glen (gouge in English.
   In this townland is Toibairín Domhnaig = church near by
   This Townland contains Gleannamhairigig = Gleann + mairgeach = the well was said to cure some heads or boils. Churchill as it is now called, in my youthful days it was referred to as Árd na Ceártan = as the forge was there before the church.

   Tobar na Molt = in Tubrid where Brendan was baptised
   Tobarín Domhnaig = in Ballymacagogue
   Árd Solies Bridge = Ath Chorrín Bridge
   Cnocánach Díon = big height; Clogher-na-gCat;
   Páirc na h-Eorna - Páirc na Daibhche = Dabhách
   ( a large hollowed tree is sunk in the ground)
   Paircín Cruaidh = milking
   Clocha Dubha = black rocks; Scoth = rocky part of strand
