  1. Con Sullivan was the best runner in Ballyheigue long ago. He raced a man from Jimmy Lawlor's cross to Tralee and gave four rounds of the sports field and he won.
    He raced the champion of Munster. They started at Ardfert and they raced to Ballyheigue, they gave three rounds of the lawn field. But Con Sullivan won.
