  1. At the place called Feredgea about one half of a mile from the school on the road to Monasteraden the people say there is a ghost there after dark. No one can definitely say whether it is a man or a woman - it is supposed to be a tall dark looking figure - it walks along the road - one can hear the step always after one but if he stops - the pursuing steps cease also. At that particular place some fifty years ago the body of a woman was found in the water - tied up in a bag. Foul play was suspected but no one was convicted.
    The Lomcloon Ghost.
    At a passage up through the bog - by the house where an old man "Drury" since deceased lived - the fairies were supposed to pass on their way to one of the forts in Annaghmore. The old man, nicknamed "Cox" used to tell how he heard the horseman passing up and down and say lights
