  1. Spinning was a great industry that was carried on in this district, long ago. It is not done now. There was a woman who lived in the townland of Corradoo whose name was Mrs. Walsh. She used to spin long ago.
    The wool was carded and oil put on it before it was spun. She then worked the wheels with her feet and so spun the wool. When it was taken out it was converted into yarn.
