  2. There lived a nail maker about a hundred yards the Sligo side of Conway's Cross. He lived on Patrick McKeon's land along the main Sligo Ballyfarnon road. He lived on the side of a brae and it is still known as the nailors brae.
    This nailor was a spy and every place the people were making poteen he went there and unless he got as much as he was able to drink he would report them to the revenue.
