    green ivy leaf which is soaked in vinegar for 24hrs and when it is covered put it to the corn.
    The cure of mumps is to get an old shovel and throw a fist of salt on it and heat it over the fire and put it into the left stocking that the person is wearing and tie it round the neck. When this is done for three mornings the person will get alright.
    The cure for the sty in the eye is to get a married woman to rub her wedding ring to the eye for nine mornings and also to say some prayers. This cure has to be made three times.
    An old cure for warts is to get a milky dandelion and rub it to the warts for three mornings.
