  2. A long time ago there dwelt in a little cottage near the fort of Ath-Sluagh an unmarried man named John Ferguson. This fort is situated at the top of the farm to the rear of the Cliffoney Schools.
    One fine night towards the end of July, John was out working and his head stooped down. Suddenly he raised his head and saw a little man dressed in blue clothes sitting on the ditch.
