  1. A man named John Mc Sharry who lived in the townland of Upper Bunduff, Parish of Ahamlish, Barony of Carbury, Co Sligo, about forty five years ago had the cure of the "Rose".
    Whoever suffered from the ailment brought a piece of butter to this man. He then put the butter into a saucer and went outside the house. He knelt down and said prayers. After that he came into the house and gave the butter to the person.
    The sufferer went home, rubbed the butter each day for nine consecutive days, to the swollen place and in a short time was completely cured.
