  1. There were two parties in North Kerry once.
    The landlord always kept them divided.
    Their names were Cooleens and Mulvihills.
    The two parties fought a great battle one time in Ballyeagh.
    It was called Faction fighting in those days.
    The women fought with sticks and stones.
    There was plenty drink poured out to them by the heads of each party.
    The battle raged so fierce between them that there were six or seven of them drowned.
    The people that were arrested for fighting were saved by the landlord.
