    One of the men who was fighting in Ballinamuck was Tom Gilheany. When he was making his escape from the English he came down through Aughavas and went into the house of "Shuffling Seán." Tom gave Sean his money to keep it for him. Seán then guided him to the house of Bob Ferguson a yeoman.
