  1. There is a lot of superstitions or beliefs in this locality.
    No 1. It is believed if a man meets a hare on his pass going to a fair he should turn back.
    No 2. Red rags are tied on the tails of animals to keep them from being over looked.
    No 3. It is believed that if a person spills salt that bad luck will come to him and if he throws a pinch of it accross his right sholder that the bad luck will not come.
    No 4. If a red haired girl goes into a house on New years day, it is believed she will bring bad luck to the house during the comming year.
    No5. In olden times when the people would be throwing out water after night they would put a cole in it and say "cughath-sá".
    No 6. If a person breaks a mirror it is said they will have bad luck for seven years.
    No 7. If a cat dies on a person it's said that every cat will die on them they have for nine year's.
