  1. One tie there was a man named Robert John Crawford, of Coolegrain, coming from the town of Blacklion. He was driving a horse and car and had taken a neighbour to the railway station at Belcoo.
    On his way home the horse refused to move on several occasions, and stood prancing and backing on the road. He beat the animal with a whip and still the horse was unwilling to continue his journey, although the driver could not see anything which might be an obstacle. (It was night when this happened).
