    Likewise Carrick on Shannon as they did in days of yoer.
    But the heart of hospitality is found in Ballinamore.
    For patriotism & bravery they always done their share,
    But the seat of Kings and chieftains,
    Is dear old Dromahair.

    Our Leitrim County Councillors old Ireland will surprise.
    On behalf of the ratepayers they will economise,
    And to attend then meetings in splendid pomp and strife,
    They are surely well entitled to 9d to the mile.
    IX
    Leitrim sons and daughters no matter where you go.
    Never cry out poverty like Galway and Mayo.
    Now to conclude and finish
    I have plenty more to say
    Hoping to receive attention on next election day.
