    The next feast is on the 15th August and on that day the people start going to Knock.
    The next feast is on the last night of October. On that night all the children have great fun ducking for apples and big boys go out about the villages pelting cabbage. That night when the people are going to bed they shake ashes around the hearth and in the morning when they get up there do be footsteps on the ashes and if the footsteps are turned to the door somebody will die out of the house.
    The next great feast is Christmas day the greatest feast of all. On that day the children go out in the fields and catch the wren and have him for the next day which is St. Stephen"s day. When that day comes all the little boys put ribbons on their caps and go from house to house gathering money and then they share it between them.
    What ever day the 28th December falls on that day will be the odd day for the year.On that day the people do not start doing any work
