  2. The landlord of this district was Lord Clonbrock. He was over fifty years in the district. He was a good landlord. The was a few evictions carried out. He never brought strangers on the land. He came from England in the time of Cromwell and he got the land. He sold the land to the commissioners and they divided it among all the tenants. He had a seat along with the house of lords in England
