- I got this account from my mother, Mrs Fahey, Lurgan Aughrim, Ballinasloe. Aged 42 years. The local patron Saint of this parish was St. Alaghton. It is said that he built a Church where the graveyard is now. This place was called after him. It is called Killalaghton.
