The bride's maids are supposed to help the bride to dress on the morning of her marriage, also she is supposed to wear something blue, even if it is only a pocket handkerchief for good-luck, and happiness in the future.
    Shrove Tuesday used to be the best day for marriages, and the best night for fun, because they used to get pancakes.
