  1. Crock of Gold hidden by Danes (or Irish during Danish raids) in underground cave situated at Pilot House, Shrove (Mouth of Lough Foyle)
    One attempt made to recover it by James McLaughlin, attempt failed as candle went out.
    Local superstition that one person will lose life in attempt to recover treasure.
