    The first steam engine that was made in Ireland was made by Tomas Lynch of Carry in County Donegal.
    He showed her in London and drove her in the streets of London
    The government wanted to buy his patent for a large sum of money.
    But he would not accept the offer.
    So the government taxed him very heavyly for his patent. He paid the taxes for a few years and then he was not able.
    And So the government got it for nothing and improved on it.
    He went astray in the mind and died in the Asylum and his patent is still running.
