  2. In olden times the floors of the houses was made of clay and the room floors was made of flags and cement. There was a half door in nearly every house.
    There was sods at the back of the fire and there were sticks and turf at the front.
    The people burned candles called rush candles to show them light. They made these candles themselves. The way that they made them was they got a bit of a board and they put some resin on it. Then they got a bit of string and they put it on top of the resin to make the wick and then they put
