    One time there was a man that lived in a place called Carolina. This man had a son that lived in a place called the Parish. One time this man made up his mind that he would to his sons house for a weekend. One night he started of for his sons house. He was going past a small house that a priest said mass in the time of the penal laws and he went in to say his prayers. He fell asleep because he was tired walking. When he was sleeping a long time he woke up and just as he opened his eys he saw a priest the priest asked if there was anyone there that could clerk mass the man said that he could. Then the priest started and said mass and the man answered it. When
