    About forty years ago there lived a P.P. [Parish Priest] in Rollestown named Father Walshe. One day when out riding he met a local Prodestant named Thomson who had recently been made a magistrate. Mr. Thomson although very friendly with his reverence who never missed a chance of giving him a rub. This day he said "You know Fr Walshe you catholics never follow the example set by your Master at all. He rode into Jerusalem on an ass, but I never see a P.P. using that mode of conveyance."
