  1. The name of my home district is Laheen in the townland of Carricknahorna and in the Parish of Kilbarron and in the Barony of Tirhugh.
Laheen is a verry [sic] small townland consisting of five houses all slated except two. There are no old people over seventy living there.
Houses were more numerous in former times. There are plenty now in ruins.
I do not think any people emigrated from this district in former years. I have never heard the townland mentioned in any song or saying. The land is hilly and boggy.
There is not much wood growing. There are rivers, and one lake, and one stream. I have never heard any stories connected with them.
