  1. In the townland of Tubber, in a field belonging to Mr. Anderson under a large, flat stone there is supposed to be gold hidden. It was supposed to be hidden there by the Danes. She cannot discover why. Her grandfather and some other men dug and came upon a large flag. Then they got weak and had to leave it. The supposed value is thousands upon thousands of pounds.
