  1. (1) The Doctor’s Land.
There is a small farm of about 13 acres in Coolcolly, Ballyshannon – situated behind a Mrs. Connolly’s house. It once belonged to Dr. Sheil. A good number of years ago it was divided out among the tenants on the Sheil estate – each one being allotted 2 acres. These are let by auction every year. It is always known as “The Doctor’s Land.”
    (2) White Park.
In the townland of Parkhill, Ballyshannon, there is a field called White Park. The grass growing on it is very short always and appears white in the distance – hence the name – White Park.
