  1. As I ly down this night to sleep, I give the lord my soul to god to keep, Waking now or waking ever, I give my sould to God for ever, God within God without God gave mercy round this house,
    If any danger come to us, oh mother of Jesus waken us.

    Keep watch around me whil [sic] I sleep, Beneath the shelter of thy wings, Save me from all hurtful things, Pour the light of love Divine, In this Cold dull heart of mine that I may rise at break of day again to praise my God and Pray, Glory to the Father be, Glor Jesus Christ to thee, Holy Ghost Eternal three, Amen.
