  1. Fresh cuts- Comfrey, the root is cut & boiled in water
    Warts- Scrape inside of oyster shell and put on wart
    Warts- Milk of Dandelion
    Boils- Brown sugar and Soft Soap minced together as poultice
    Blood- Boil nettles and eat.
    Swollen Tonsils- Heat coarse salt & apply to neck as poultice
    Cold- Roast buttermilk and put lump of butter in it
    Wildfire- The fasting spit.
    Ringworm- Mix cart grease and sulfur and rub on sore
    A Cure for deafness
    Get a cowslip, the root, blossom and leaves, and press in a linen cloth, add honey to juice already pressed, put in a bottle. Put a few drops in ears and nostrils of patient while lying on back. After awhile turn patient until water pours out carrying away what causes deafness.
    Ear ache- wool of black sheep put in ear, or get a snail and pinch it. The froth that comes pour into ear.
    Get two eels, and fold in cabbage leaf. Put it on the fire until soft then squeeze out juice and drop into ear.
    If you have a swollen finger put three grains of white ashes in the name of the Holy Trinity.
    Pennyleaf is good for boils.
