As Peter sat on a marble stone

As Peter sat on a marble stone
The Lord came to himself alone.
What ails you peter what makes you weak?
O Lord God it is a toothache.
Get up peter and be thou fair,
And carry those lines for my sake
And if you say this prayer
you never shall be troubled with a toothache
God bless the corners of this house.
    And be the lintel blest.
And bless the heart and bless the board
And bless each place of rest.
And bless the door that opens wide
    To strangers as to kin
And bless each crystal window pane
    That lets the starlight in
And bless the roof tree over our head
    And every sturdy wall,
The peace of God, the peace of man
The peace of love on all.
