  1. Once a girl went in to a shop for a sixpenny magazine. When she went in she met a girl and asked her where was the counter where the magazine were sold. She told her to go to such a counter When she got there she asked for a magazine. The girl gave her one and asked her if she would paper it. The girl said not to as she had not far to go. On her way out she met a governor He asked her where she got it She said in the book counter He thought she had been stealing it
