    When you hear the cuckoo for the first time and have money in your pocket you should take it out and spit on it.
    The young people look forward to the coming of the cuckoo. When they first hear her, they look to their heel and take the grey ribs that are on it and keep them in some safe place so as to ensure luck for the year.
    There is also a little rhyme about cuckoo:
