    the ridges. This is continued until the whole field is ploughed in ridges. Then the sod between the ridges is ploughed.
    When the ridges are ready potatoes are cut into slits with an eye in each slit because unless an eye is left in the slit no potatoes would grow. Then holes are made in the ridges and a slit is put into each hole. Then the holes are quenched.
