    Colours Calves
    Some say a white calf is a harbinger of ill luck.
    Brindled or jersey calves the fancier colour.
    Whit.
    If a cow calves on Whit Monday the calf is counted unlucky.
    If a mare foals on Whit Monday the foal is counted unlucky.
    White feet in horses.
    A horse with one white foot is a good horse.
    One white foot - buy a horse
    Two white feet - try a horse.
    Three white feet- beware of him.
    Four white feet and you are better off without him.
