    When you see the stars falling it is the sign of rain.
    If the sheep gather together closely it is the sign of rain.
    If a cat sits with her back to the fire there will be a storm.
    If the smoke goes up straight out of the chimney it is the sign of (rain) fine weather.
    If August is fine and dry there will be a bad winter.
    A rainbow in the morning is a Sailors warning and a rainbow in the night is a Sailors delight.
    October has always twenty one fine days.
    If it rains on Saint Swithens Days it will rain forty days after.
    Make hay while the sun shines.
    An eclipse on the moon brings a storm.
    If it snows in January good crops may be expected.
    If the birds fly high you may expect good weather.
