  1. Fairy Forts
    The are four forts in Ballintubber townland. There is one in Mrs Duncan's field but there is nothing remarkable about it only there is music heard at night about ten oclock. There is one in Mrs Grennan's field. It is built around with earth and there is a pond down under it. There is another fort inside one of the plantations and there is supposed to be a treasure there. There is a light seen every night and it is called. "Willy the Wisp" The light shows three times. There are two banks in this fort and stones in the middle and the
