  1. In a field which was owned by Mr Russell and is now owned by Mr Thom there was an old canal and inside this old canal which surrounds Bishopstown or Ballinaspic, in the parish of Boher, Co. Westmeath, under a big rock there is all the household treasure belong to the old castle. It was placed there by an old family before the Danes invaded it, because the Danes were going to take the castle and the owner hid their valuables. There were attempts made to unearth it by Mr E Russell and five other men.
