    horse shoes, and bends iron to any shape he wishes.
    The black-smith also shoes horses and asses. When he is making a shoe he first puts a piece of iron into the fire. When it is red he puts it on the anvil and hammers it into shape. Then he bores seven holes in it for the nails. He also makes ploughshares and gates and other implements.
