  1. On 12th July 1903 a priest sent a letter to the men of Dundalk to go to Warrenpoint. The priest was fearing that the Orange men of Ulster were going to hold their 12th July celebrations and that they would knock down his church. The Dundalk men went down ins boats, some in carts and some walked. They took hurley sticks down and said they were going to play a hurley match. When they went to Warrenpoint they saw a Union Jack flying on a hall. Some of them went up on the roof and pulled it
