  1. There was a woman one time living up near Arda. She was sick for a long time and had a child. When the child was about six weeks of age it was always crying. The woman went out one day and told the goodmen to mind the child. The goodmen began to whistle and dance for the child. When it sat up and said to the goodmen:
    "I will play a time that will use you very soon."
    So he pulled out a pipe and played a tune so that the goodmen couldn't stop dancing. A little while after that the goodmen saw the woman coming and told the child to lie down. So the child lay down and the woman came in and made a cup of tea for the goodmen. He was
