  1. 8. Old Customs.
    (i) On Nth. Commons - Carry stone when climbing Mountain and leave it at large rock on top and carve name - Rock surrounded by stones.
    (ii) On May Eve the children gather May-flower (primroses) and throw them along the ground at the front wall of every house.
    (iii) The youths collect money from every house and have a bonfire on the Mountain on 29th June. The money provides for a picnic round the fire.
