- (continued from previous page)In a place locally known as the Lower Yard there were four houses. In one house lived Dan Hayes the smith and his family. They all died. In another house lived Donncad Dearg and his wife who died. Next door lived John Forde and his family and they died also. In the big house in the yard lived the former teacher.
