  1. About one hundred years ago there was a chapel at Ballinora cross opposite Mrs. Looney's house. The parish priest also lived close to the chapel at that time where Mr. Horgan is living now. His name was Father Prior. He died about the year 1847 and is buried in Ballinora chapel yard. His monument is there at the present time. The hilly road leading from the lower road to where the chapel was is called bóithrín tSéipéil. In the olden days mass was cele-brated some where in the centre of the hill.
